Sorry Charlie-There is no Socialist Utopia

“ economic equality, today known as socialism, or the sharing of wealth”

What you mean is entitling some of the people to wealth, they did not earn, nor help produce is equality. So in effect theft is equality. This only serves the nonproducer with artificial happiness- it does not make him better nor equal. Of course the one who put the effort towards making the wealth that was taken, has been stolen from…somehow advocating theft to make things more equal-is supposed to be more moral?

“ political equality or democracy, or sharing in political decisions which affect daily life;”

Yes yes, democracy sounds good on paper- until 51% of the people squash the rights of 49% of the people- indeed perfect harmony! I will take my chances with allowing the rule of law to protect me from those whom may covet. A system where my government protects my rights first and the whims of a mob don’t hamper my pursuit of happiness.

“ and social equality which, to some extent, results from socialism and democracy, and is characterized by a lack of social classes and discrimination based on color, faith, race or sex (or sexual orientation)”

The claim that socialism and democracy is classless is false. Socialism punishes the productive and rewards the non productive- that in itself creates 4 classes. The government being the power, the producers, the mediocre, and the non producer. Democracy which has merit, also creates classes, and descrimination in the same fashion. In a democracy, if 51% of the people hate blacks- they can pass law which oppresses blacks. I know you think somehow in your ‘perfect society’ there is no (for example) racism. However the reality is man is NOT perfect, no system of econmics or government is going to change that. People whom are bad, racist, bigots, murderers, thieves, etc are still all of those things. Government can NOT make man perfect, because they are imperfect men who make up the government!

“The good society is one that is based on three equalities: economic equality, today known as socialism, or the sharing of wealth; political equality or democracy, or sharing in political decisions which affect daily life; and social equality which, to some extent, results from socialism and democracy, and is characterized by a lack of social classes and discrimination based on color, faith, race or sex (or sexual orientation). In the good society, people are judged according to their intellectual and moral character, as reflected in their public and private lives and demonstrated in the spirit of public service at all times and through every means. Social equality aims at removing social classes and differences between urban and rural life by providing equal opportunity for cultural refinement”
