Isn’t it convenient that while the President now tries to cuff the financial sector, with new extravagant ‘financial regulatory reform bill’. That he sends out the SEC to finally address some devious doings at Goldman Sachs. Isnt it convenient that we didnt attack Wall Street, immediately when we chose to bail these fools out.
The truth is the Government is really to blame for the collapse. Do I believe that people on Wall Street made profit off the disaster, sure- it IS what they do everyday- risk, gamble, assess, hedge, knowing and projecting which side to be on to make money. But for the Government to be able to ‘control’ the private free market, they have to be able to paint these money makers as evil.
Really?….”say thank you”…are you serious?
So I was reading in another article, which referred back to this article in the USATODAY (here) where as part of the obvious failed stimulus package. This ‘cut’ is so insignificant I didnt even notice, or feel it. This constutes this middle class tax relief? Are you serious Mr President?
You are chuckling, cracking jokes, laughing off something as serious as tax policy, with this excuse for a tax cut? This was the ‘cut’ used to bribe the masses to vote for you which was supposed to be $500 lump sum, and turns out to be a tax credit. Albeit a tax reduction, but at what interest are we paying it. Your gratuity is far insignificant now in the abounds of debt you have leveled on this nation.
After watching this video, I just wanted to scream. “Come on Mr. President just be honest and answer the question.” However, when you watch it you will notice, the same old tired circle jerk stepping around of truth. Mr. President, she asked you: “Is it wise to be adding taxes at this point, when we are already overtaxed?”
The clear truthful answer should have been no. I remember when Obama professed he was going to go through the budget “line by line”. “Cut spending with a scalpel”, instead he has driven the deficit up to 14 trillion dollars. No cuts, unless you include the fake one where he froze spending on 3% of his budget that he had already bloated, beforehand.
On the issue of the Tea Party Movement, although some Republicans share some of the philosophies associated with the activists- they are NOT synonymous. The recent effort by the Republicans to hijack the movement sort of irks me.
Considering the movement principles based on small government, fiscal responsibility, Constitutional obedience, free markets- it would be more Libertarian, then modern day Republican. For the past eight years the Bush administration did not practice any of these. Granted the new Obama regime has quadrupled the Bush expansion, it does not excuse the Republicans.
